5 Reasons Why Wuthering Waves Needs World Reset With NG+
After playing Wuthering Waves for non-stop hours, I was able to complete its main missions, side quests, and unlock 5-star resonators.
However, once I finished the main story, I was left with nothing to do until the next major content update 1.2.
That’s when I thought, why can’t we have a world reset and a New Game Plus (NG+) mode for players to add an even bigger challenge in Wuthering Waves?
Well, let me tell you my top six reasons why Wuthering Waves needs world reset and NG+:
1. Enhanced Replay Value
One thing I absolutely love about Wuthering Waves is its story. The option to replay the story on a higher difficulty is extremely beneficial for players who love to grind.
Imagine being able to replay the whole story but with enemies 5 to 10 levels above our current limit—that would provide a fresh challenge. This not only keeps the gameplay engaging but also gives you a reason to revisit the story from a new perspective + increased difficulty.
2. Increased Rewards
Let’s be honest; we all love faster rewards.
A world reset with NG+ could make daily activities and bosses more rewarding. Faster rewards from these activities would make the grind more satisfying, giving you more incentive to invest your time in the game.
3. Retaining Valuable Progress
The idea of keeping our characters, weapons, and echoes while only resetting skills and upgrades strikes the perfect balance.
I can start fresh without feeling like all my previous efforts were wasted. This approach provides both familiarity and new challenges, making each NG+ run unique and enjoyable.
4. Added Achievements
With the added difficulty, new achievements and unique rewards like Astrite would be great additions in NG+ mode. Added achievements would provide more goals to strive toward. This will not only enhance your overall gaming experience but also keep you motivated to keep progressing for the better.
5. Potential for More Rolls
If a world reset means more rolls (whether they are loot or special rewards), it’ll be a no-brainer for the players.
More opportunities for rolls make the game more exciting. It’s a simple yet effective way to keep players engaged and looking forward to what the game has to offer next.
Honestly looking at the increasing competition in the Gacha genre with games like Zenless Zone Zero, the chances of Wuthering Waves getting a World Reset with NG+ feels quite realistic.
What do you think? Should Kuro introduce world reset and NG+ mode in Wuthering Waves?
