Ubisoft to Add Offline Modes to The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest
Ubisoft’s Ivory Tower studio announced plans to introduce offline modes for The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest, addressing player concerns over long-term access to the games.
The news came during a recent showcase marking the first anniversary of The Crew Motorfest. Here’s the complete showcase video –
Since its release, the game has featured 20 playlists, more than 630 vehicles, and 50 themed events. While the game has been successful, some players expressed concerns about continued access to the titles, particularly regarding their reliance on online connectivity.
Ivory Tower acknowledged these concerns and confirmed they are working on an offline mode for both games.
“We are currently exploring different solutions and can confirm an offline mode to ensure long-term access to both titles,” the studio said. Further details on the offline mode are expected in the coming months.
This move is aimed at extending the games’ longevity and allowing players to enjoy them without needing an internet connection. It follows a trend in the gaming industry to offer more flexible options for players.
