No, iShowSpeed’s South Korea Live Stream Didn’t Draw 2.1M Live Views
After a failed attempt to stream from North Korea, YouTube sensation IShowSpeed went on to do a live stream from South Korea.
This resulted in this screenshot getting circulated on Social Media, claiming he broke the record of concurrent LIVE viewers in a YouTube stream.
However, this is not quite right. The visible number of 2.1M is a known YouTube livestream bug and not the concurrent viewership. Besides, from what we’ve heard, the peak number of his livestream was around 170K.
So this means he didn’t break the record of the Sidemen FC Charity Match which had over 2.7 million viewers watching the match live concurrently on 9 September 2023.
In other news, IShowSpeed faced another unexpected setback when he was bitten by a dog while interacting with a crowd in South Korea. The incident occurred during a broadcast where the streamer, known for his playful antics, engaged in a barking match with a dog, ultimately leading to the bite. Despite the mishap, IShowSpeed continued to entertain his fans and even joked about suing the dog’s owner.
The streamer’s trip to South Korea has been marked by various memorable moments, including a generous viewer gifting him 1,000,000 won (approximately $730) to give away to his fans. His presence in the country has drawn significant attention, with one event attracting over 1,000 people.
Earlier, IShowSpeed announced his intention to stream from North Korea, a plan that was met with excitement and skepticism from his followers. The streamer’s daring decision comes when North Korea recently opened its borders to tourists, albeit under strict conditions.
IShowSpeed’s popularity has been on the rise, with the streamer recently surpassing 24 million subscribers on YouTube. His adventurous spirit and willingness to push boundaries have made him a favorite among his fans, who eagerly await his next move.
