Is Microsoft Discontinuing Rewards Auto-Renew for Game Pass Subscription?
Starting August 12, 2024, users of the Microsoft Rewards program will see a shift in how they can redeem points for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscriptions.
It all started when Microsoft notified its users about the upcoming change, sparking heated debate online. Until now, gamers could use their rewards points to automatically renew their Game Pass subscriptions.
The announcement outlined that this auto-redeem feature would be ending. Microsoft suggested that participants should look into new redemption options within the Rewards catalog or let their current game subscriptions run out.
This news turned out a big disappointment for Xbox users after the recent price hike in the Game Pass pricing, with some expressing their disappointment online.
