Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog” Set for Winter Release
The highly anticipated visual novel game, “Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog,” has been announced for a winter release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Developed by Space Colony Studios, this title is a love letter to retro anime and 80s science fiction, featuring a unique visual style inspired by classic PC-9800 games.
“Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog” follows the story of the Gun-Dog’s security officer as he navigates a mission to investigate mysterious signals from the edge of Jovian Space. The game has an extensive cast of characters, rich, explorable environments, and a narrative filled with meaningful choices that reward player interaction and investigation.
Astrolabe Games, the publisher of the game, has announced that a playable demo is now available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. This demo offers players a chance to experience the first hour of the full game, introducing them to the protagonist and the crew of the Jovian patrol ship Gun-Dog.
The game has garnered attention for its unique visual style, which pays homage to classic PC-9800 titles such as Snatcher and Policenauts. It aims to capture the spirit of the era with its retro aesthetic and gameplay mechanics, as well as its focus on an engaging narrative and characters.
