Complete Guide to Raising Sheep in Farming Simulator 25
We’ll show you how to buy, care for, and sell sheep.
You’ll learn about setting up their living area, feeding them, and getting wool, which you can sell to earn some money.
Let’s get started!
Setting Up Your Sheep Area
Getting to the Build Menu
First, open the build menu. On PC, press Shift + P. Look for the animal icon in the menu and find the sheep section.
Picking a Sheep Pasture
You can choose from:
- Basic Pasture ($14,000):
- Holds up to 19 sheep
- Needs grass or hay and water
- Covered Sheep Barns:
- Don’t need water, just grass or hay
- Can hold more sheep (up to 68)
We suggest getting a covered barn if you can, as you won’t need to worry about water.
Buying Sheep
Finding the Animal Seller
Open your map and look for the animal seller icon (it looks like a hand with an animal). Go there and press R to talk to the seller.
Choosing Your Sheep
Pick the type of sheep you want. They mostly look different but work the same. Make sure you have a Pasture or barn ready before buying.
Moving Your Sheep
You can:
- Pay a small fee for automatic delivery
- Use your trailer to move them yourself
Sheep Prices
- Baby sheep (0 months old): Cheapest but take time to grow up
- Adult sheep: More expensive but ready-to-make wool
Taking Care of Your Sheep
Food and Water
Basic Pasture need food and water. Covered barns only need food.
Giving Water (for basic pasture)

- Fill the trailer at the water tower
- Drive to the sheep Pasture and empty the trailer
Giving Food
Sheep eat grass or hay. You can grow it yourself or buy it from the store.
- Buy hay bales if you don’t have your own
- Get a tractor that can use a front loader
- Attach a bale spike to the front loader
- Pick up the hay bale and take it to the sheep pen
- Drop off the hay where the game shows you
Keeping an Eye on Your Sheep
- Health: Make sure they always have food and water
- Growth: Young sheep need about 8 months to grow up
- Wool: The game will automatically collect wool on pallets near the sheep pen
