Complete Sunflower Farming Guide in Farming Simulator 25
Before you start growing sunflowers, you need to prepare your fields and get the right tools.
Preparing Your Fields
- Add Lime: Use a fertilizer spreader that can spread lime. Look for equipment with a small white icon. Buy lime from the store’s consumables section.
- Planting: You need special equipment for planting sunflowers. In the store, go to the planters section and choose one with a sunflower logo. Fill it with sunflower seeds (press Y to select them). Try to get a planter that can seed and fertilize at the same time.
Boosting Your Crop
- Fertilize: After planting, use a fertilizer spreader to make your crops grow better.
- Use a Roller: Roll your fields to push stones into the soil. This gives you a small boost in how much you grow.
- Add Beehives: Put beehives near your sunflower fields to help them grow even more.
- Remove Weeds: If you have weeds turned on in your game, use a weeder to get rid of them. If not, don’t worry about this step.
Harvesting Your Sunflowers
When it’s time to harvest:
- Use any combine harvester that works for crops like wheat or oats. Make sure it has a sunflower icon.
- You’ll need a corn header, not a grain header, to harvest sunflowers.
Plant your sunflowers in March or April, and harvest them in October or November.
Selling Your Sunflowers
After harvesting:
- Store your sunflowers in a silo or trailer.
- Check the map’s statistics tab to find buyers and prices.
- The best time to sell is usually February or March when prices are highest.
- Mark the best-selling spot on your map so you can find it easily.
